Overview
Via Dolorosa (Latin for “Way of Suffering”) is a historic path in the Old City of Jerusalem believed to be the route Jesus walked on the way to his crucifixion. This sacred path stretches approximately 600 meters and includes 14 Stations of the Cross, each marking significant events of Jesus’ final journey. Pilgrims from around the world walk the Via Dolorosa in reflection and devotion, making it one of the most revered pilgrimage routes in Christianity.
